This offers a very good message on how we should try to live in harmony with the people around us. Treat others as you would want them to treat you and you get what you give. If we surround ourselves with hateful, negative, people that is what we will become. We should keep company with the people we want to be like and try to be the kind of person we would want to be around.

A good philosophical write, and so true you words in certain aspects.
''We try to surround ourselves with people [with] integrity, flexibility and ethics,''
One little thing, try not to use the preposition' with' in rapid succession as the above. I would replace the second ''with.'' Use 'of' instead.

Authors notes: The break-up and LOSS in life. You can choose your friends but you may not always be right. Interesting thoughts on friends, life and death. Life is a stage and we the players. Death is but a transition to another life. Well done.
