In this poem you managed to render very well the silence of winter when snow falls. It has suggestive and poetic power and you managed to say a lot in so few words.

I think it is a time in seclusion whether in a snow bound park or anywhere for that matter! I know for myself, I believe I commune with the Master of the universe. In my country the aboriginals have a different form of communing! Whatever we believe there is certainly a dimension of spiritually in these things! A good example of a 3-5-3. I hope you do well! Blessings, Roy.

Your write is exquisite. It has my vote and will probably be a well-deserved winner in this prompt.
I confess to being tired of snow. But it is beautiful and your poem conveys the hush of serene spirituality in a world muffled in pure white.
Thank you for providing my morning's meditation.

This is an excellent entry, mystery writer.
I didn't get it at first without your notes, but I then went back and re-read it. OK, the 'Indian' meaning isn't in the actual poem, but it still has a great feel to it.
Sure deserves to contend.
Good luck, Ted

Hi :) I don't know what the spirits say, but I do know that this is a beautiful lune. I don't know what picture you have illustrating your poem as my computer is refusing to show it, but I don't feel that the photo is necessary anyway - your words alone speak volumes! Great job, good luck in the booth. Kindest regards, Debra :)

This is beautifully written. And while I've had about as much of the "white stuff" this winter than I can stand (with up to two more inches coming our way today!), I certainly appreciate the wonderful sentiment that went into the writing of this lune. There is a sort of hushed whisper as snow falls. I've always felt it to be a bit spiritual in nature myself.
Fabulous work!

to me water has a music to it...you can hear snow falling...the same with other water sounds...they could hear what they want in it....they are Gods gifts to us...a great poem and a beautiful picture...very well written
