What a cute picture and cute story. I think anuity has two Ns in it but otherwise this well written. The haiku is adorable just like the bunny. Good luck.

Thanks for a great review. Elaine
Comment from Trybuck
On the farm, we see nature at play almost everyday. Anything from rabbits to wild turkeys, fox, coyotes, deer and if we're lucky an occasional black bear.
Your haiku described beautifully the prose part of this. Well done, Buck

{Review in a sad story in partial rhyme this time call...
"Objection Your Honor that Killer is not My Cat!"
{ZAP!!!!}
"I like bunnies and so doth my cat
'Valerie the Huntress!'
And I will tell you why I like them Alive 'Miss mermaid of da Seven Seas.'
"She 'Catatized' one about a year ago after washing it! {She thinks all furry creatures are her kittens!}
[It's a nature thing for an animals that never mated.}"
Any who, she brought it, caught, it, decided to play with it....
And then I bagged it and her!
The baby, rabbit got away for it was faking and I bagged it and Valerie again for instead of the neck like a kitten, it was the poor things head in the nasty cat's mouth!"
...
"Pissed that I bagged it and her again, my friend...
Out the door that night so, long, long, ago...
Then a miracle appeared and {it was Santa and his reindeer!]
It was the bunny all fluffy {but not funny} because on the 'Huntress's' release...
{To say the least} she caught that poor creature...
{Dommed from da START!!!}
At it all{except the bitter entrails} including the poor things tail, soul, eyes, and lastly the Heart!"
Thanks,
24.

I love bunnies too. Occasionally, one hops into our suburban neighborhood. Nice contrast between your world and the more carefree one of the rabbit's. Your haiku at the end says it all.

Thank you for sharing your encounter with the bunny--I greatly enjoyed your well-penned haibun;
These animals are so darned cute;
Good creativity of contemplating what the furry friend is thinking as he/she sits quietly;
"of cottontail dreams"--such fine dreams to experience.
A pleasure to read--excellent!

What a nice surprise to brighten your day as you go about your business. It is amazing how something as sweet as sighting a bunny can make you thankful. Excellent descriptions. We'll executed 5-7-7 to complete your haibun.

A well written and constructed prose of your visit to the bank. How lovely the rabbit appeared for you. A bright spot in an ordinary task. Your writing is
clear and very concise. An enjoyable read. And Lapin, I learned a new word. I will look for it...on a menu perhaps? Smiles, Robin :)
