I am impressed with the responses of all three and I think that your idea of having a column in different countries is a great one. Why does the librarian have to remain anonymous ?

That was her decision. She thought it would add a little mystery to the who is who aspect of the column.

Just out of curiosity, do you edit the letters, or paraphrase? Nobody writes that consistently well. No matter, the message is clear. I like the committee approach.

Occasionally we edit, but we try to keep the letters in their original for as much as possible. I have been very impressed with the responses from every one that has contacted us. I am pleased you like the committee approach, it seems everyone else does too.

I am so pleased you enjoyed this. Since you gave it 4 stars, can you offer any suggestions as to how we can make this better?
-
It is a mistake. I changed it. Sorry

I have learned over the years that whey I enter a number and not click enter, and the first word of the review begins with a T, the number changes to a 2,3, or 4. I've done it a dozen time.

This is the first time I have read one of your colums. Love the tri-party perspective.
Also get a giggle out of the handles that you have chosen for yourselves.
Could relate to the fanstasy romance letter. Have indulged cravings from a fondly remembered past ... only to find they were better left as memories. LOL
Well done.

I am a firm believer that fantasies are best left as fantasies...I know from experience! We are just doing a trial run on FS to see how it is received. So far, it has been a hit.

I enjoyed reading this column as usual. I really enjoyed the letter about the couple expected to help out family members financially all the time. It doesn't help those who do not manage their money well. Excellent responses to the problem.

Unless it is a real medical emergency, the best answer is no, then follow up with a binding contract! I am so pleased you liked this one.

I really enjoy reading all three of your responses. But I have a strong urge to put my two cents in. It wouldn't be a good idea because I would tell them what idiots most of them are being. So I'll keep my opinions to myself ð??? Keep up the good work.

I imagine the Librarian is the U.S. one? Wonder why that person stays incognito. Not sure if you want feedback on the advice given or the writing itself. Perhaps you should also consider women's magazines or even formatting this into a book/ebook. People love to read about other people's problems, makes them forget their own. Or makes them grateful theirs are so pitiful compared to the true problems others have.
Some copyedits:
Soul mate-- third paragraph, no hypen
M(e)nopausal -- fifth paragraph, spelling
Upgrading -- 13th paragraph, one word
pushover -- 15th paragraph, one word
'No' -- last paragraph, when referring to specific word italicize the word
Good luck with your venture.

Thanks for catching the spage. Manopausal is intentional since the questions is written by a man. The Librarian asked to remain anonymous plus it add to the who is who aspect of this column.

No is a complete sentence...seems like all three of these soul-searchers need that sound advice. I am enjoying this column so much ...great job. I am so wanting to know the Librarian, but I think you guys are smart to keep her a mystery.
