After God entered into a new covenant with man, the cross on Golgotha became the focal point of mankind's salvation. No longer were the old laws in play, Christ took care of those for us when he took our place and was nailed to the tree. It isn't about the good works we do, or how much we tithe at church service each Sunday, or even that we simply pray. It's all about Calvary's cross, and the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us.

Sounds like song lyrics even though the rhyming isn't that clear, but flows smoothly. Like the repetition of the last two lines of each verse which really brings this all together. Wonderfully written. Les

You have done an excellent job with this poem. The presentation is great. The flow is very good. I like rhyme but did not miss it here in this poem with an occasional rhyme.
I see nothing to change. Your message is strong. Too many give up or give into things that are wrong because of their despair. Reading your poem gives one hope. Thanks for sharing.

So would I. I don't have any music for them except for what is in my head. I mentally hear the tune for a song and write the lyrics. Always have. Thanks for your comments and support. I really do appreciate them very much.
