Flow is a little off for me making it jerky in places but the feeling and the rhyme make it a fantastic read.
You put me there beside you looking at the book of matches with you and that is the true feel of a poet.

The title drew me in right away to read this and then paired with the picture I was caught. I loved the use of the matches...evidence for you but also its use in a flame of love that is no longer there.
I like your questioning in the beginning...why, what happened and the arc of acceptance, anger and sadness that follows.

Great poem telling of the love that has died between two people. His heartache oozes from the words, as she is out with other men. She used to want to be his woman, but he still wants to be her man. Loved the phrase riding rainbows.

Hi Bret,
This poem describe a tie in my life. She would go to Church with me on Sunday, and be oh so sweet. But then not only in the arms of others but in the back seat of the car of others every night the rest of the week. But I finally came out of my love fog and long story short, God led me to the one He had chosen for me and this October, we will accelerate our 56th wedding anniversary.

Good rhyming rhythmic poem.
