I don't have a green thumb, but I have had my money tree for years. My plant does lean toward the light, so I rotate it periodically. Thank you for capturing the little tree so vividly in this 5-7-5 haiku and reinforcing your message with the picture. Cheers and happy weekend- Joan

We usually hope our plants do not lean, even ponder some type of support. Thank you for this Bansai-inspired Haiku poem about your successful efforts.

Leaning to the right- it must be from a pocket full of pennies. Money tree in spring- mine seems to always be in fall or winter. Time to invest in an oak lol.

I didn't know there was really a money tree:) I like the look of the plant - I'll have to look for one.

I like haiku. Great form.

Like the name of it, "Money tree" Wish mine would grow Benjamin Franklin. LOL. I know it's not a political statement. Mine is just based on I wish I had some more cash. Wonderfully written. Les

Not a political statement, Gypsy, hmm? Well I love it and I always wondered what that little bonsai doozie thing in the nurseries was! Well done! :)Sharyn

Thank you Sharyn, I appreciate your review. :) A lot of people if it was right as in conservative, republican, etc.... is not.

Money trees leaning to the right sounds of interest to Republicans. I don't think
I've seen one. With two acres of ancient woods hugging my house, I do not
let plants inside. The haiku looks quite proper...

I am not sure if this poem is acting as a "how-to" or as a metaphor for something that I did not understand. I was also not sure if the last line was meant to be in contradiction to the first- as in was it meant to grow to the right, or is it not really that easy to grow.

This haiku is about a beautiful plant called the money tree. The observation, satori, is that it leans to the right, not in a figure of speach, it really 'leans' to the right. The kigo is spring. ~now I would appreciate if you change your review. Thank you

Excellent Haiku (money tree in spring) fitting the constraints of theis type of poem precisely. If this is an entry for a contest it is very good.
