Sheep jokes? As if! That's just the height of ignorance. No one with any class makes jokes about someone else's girlfriend ;-)
Thanks so much, Kiwi. Much appreciated.

A romance story in 5 words, how clever. The one that stands out for me is - compromise -
I might think of doing something like this for our local writing group's 5 minute write, but maybe not with archaic words, they might all revolt, ha ha.
cheers,
valda

"The local writing group is revolting!" - no, that wouldn't do :)
Thanks so much, Valda. Much appreciated,

this is very clever and well rhymed. My ugur used to joke too: first there is the engagement ring, then the wedding ring, and then suffering! I particularly applaud the alliteration rhyme in the middle:
Claim prize
Compromise
Clever work.

Thanks for the kind review, RD - much appreciated. I guess, for completeness, your guru could add "interring", for when things go really bad :)
Cheers,

And let's not forget "downsize", Heh-heh-heh.
As men, we're extremely predatory in nature. It is ingrained in our DNA through eons of evolution.
You know as well as I do, the thrill is in the chase. Once our pray is "caught", we lose interest.
We shouldn't, perhaps. It's simply the way we're wired.
Funny, Craig.

Thanks for the fun review, Dean.
I like Rod Stewart's approach:
"I'm never getting married again. I'll just find a woman I don't like, and give her half my stuff."
Much simpler lol

Much simpler.
You're welcome. :)

Actually, the choice of animal in this expression has always seemed a little strange to me. I don't think I've ever seen a sheep look amorously at anyone. No, don't make the kiwi joke! Cow or dog would be much more likely...
Cute little monorhymed poem, but is it true love if there's a goodbye at the end of it?

Are you asking if true love can ever grow cold? Why not ask me something hard?
I wouldn't dare do the kiwi joke. The guy who shears my sheep and alpacas is a kiwi - and decent alpaca shearers are hard to find.
Speaking of which, it was a little embarrassing when i asked if I could have a go at helping with the shearing . His response? "I ain't shearing these sheep with anyone!"
Oops.
Thanks Steve :)

A splendid rhyming sequence describing the course of a loving relationship! Beneath the humour there lies more than a little truth! This reminds me of the seven ages of man.

Hi Tony, good to hear from you :)
Would that be Shakespeare's seven ages, or another one>?
