Thank you so much for the lovely comments, and the virtual six stars, Diana. Both are very much appreciated - Craig
Comment from Gloria ....
Such a cute poem, Craig. If dactylograms were still in vogue I'd be sending one very quickly, just for the novelty of it.
Excellent metre and rhyme and something children of all ages would get quite a charge from reading.

Wish I had a six for you on this super creative write, Craig! That was clever of you to connect the word "dactylogram" to a dinosaur write. Oh those raptors! Such trouble makers they are! I didn't like them in Jurassic Park, and I don't like them now.
Stand-outs for this reader are:
- "Steggy" ... cute nickname for stegosaurus
- "Steggy's Shindig" ... great title!
- painting the raptors as trouble-makers
- recruiting the help of friends
- great play on words with "dactylogram" (almost sounds like dicta-gram)
Excellent rhyming, a fun little story in a poem, striking presentation, and you taught us another word. This poem has it all! ~~ Connie

Oh, Connie, Those raptors are just misunderstood! They're big softies really ;-)
Many thanks for a wonderful review, which I really enjoyed reading.

haha who cares if the word isn't defined? I know I don't. I love your little story, Craig. The presentation is super--the color scheme is perfect, the quatrains with rhyme are great to carry the message, the picture is a great pairing of words + art & the whole poem was fun to read & think about. You lines flow smoothly with a fun message. So, Ptero gets credit as the first passenger ptero--not those pesky passenger pigeons. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Hi Craig,
I have not been reviewing as much as I usually do. My sister is in rehab under hospice care. Jan

-This is a very good children's poem,
Craig, and brings back memories of
many dinosaur stories!
-You have a very good story that
flows well with effective meter,
rhyme, and detail.

using a word of the day.
-I enjoyed this very much.

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Craig. It's nice to know you appreciated the aspects of your poem that I liked. I will have to see what else you write with your word a day. That is a clever idea.

Aww! This is a very cute and fun poem you have penned. I love dinosaurs and always have growing up. Greyson is the same way. He can remember things about them better than I can. You used very good words and very cute imagery with the art work you chose! I enjoyed reading and reviewing it! Blessings, Teri

A very well-written poem about the word dactylogram. A dragon or dinosour party is not a normal thing and the invitations are not send in a normal way either, it will not be a normal party after all.

Oh, this is an awesome chldren's poem. I love your characters and their names. Superb artistic presentation. Superb rhyming.
When Stegosaurus hosts a bash
it's bound to be great fun;
if asked what party outdoes it,
I'd say, "Probably none."
Adorable!

Thanks so much for the lovely comments! Not many of my poems are geared toward children, so I'm really pleased you think this one worked :) Most grateful, Craig
