Great job on this, Craig. The new word for today is whipmegmorum. I think I'll pass on the forum. Never go there. I have heard it is a nasty place. No tolerance for others' opinions there. No one will change anyone else's mind anyway. Marilyn

Thanks very much, Marilyn. Most of the time, it's pretty much as you say. Irresistible force meets immovable object. Cheers, Craig

Haha ... "whipmegmorum" ... that's a mouthful! This is an excellent Limerick, Craig! Great alliteration with "wee whipmegmorum". The inclusion of 'whip' in the word seems to give us a clue to it being a quarrel. Well done, Craig. ~~ Connie

Thanks very much, Connie. It certainly isn't a word I'd like to attempt after a few wines. Most appreciated - Craig

This is great! I love the idea of the word of the day. I was actually about to look it up on google until I scrolled down to find that you had incorporated that information for me. Thank you for the great read

I think it's a splendid word for what it describes.
Especially with regards to one particular politician who has lost nothing in politics, not to mention world politics, screwing up a nation that seems to have lost their faculties altogether. Otherwise I can't explain how such a - I think that's the right word over there - screwball.
Thanks for making me learn another new word.

I actually had the words "fake news" in a version prior to the one I published. That would have tied it in even more to the person of whom you speak, I think :) Thanks for reviewing. Craig

I realise I didn't finish my sentence...
"Otherwise I don't explain how such a screwball could las even a month in that office."

This is another new word for me. The poem is very interesting and I am learning a lot of new words. The poems are always filled with imagery.

So glad to get back to your curiosities. I have been traveling. Your rhyming abilities are mind shattering-- forum, whipmegmorum, and decorum. Amazing. And the rhymes are not forced at it. It reads so cleverly. Impressed as usual.

Ha! This was funny. Loved your "whipmegmorum" - what a word! lol. You hit the nail on the head with the political forum lacking decorum. Was funny, had the right inflection for a limerick and just delightful!

Glad you got a smile out if it, and thanks for the lovely review :-) Craig

I recently posted a limerick "On the rocks, please!" You may have a smile on it. I absolutely love the form, but for some reason, few really get the "beat", or inflection, as I call it, which is very specific for a limerick.

Yes, I have seen so many poems that claim to be "a limerick" that just aren't. I don't get why so many find it difficult. Even if as children we hardly encounter any poetry, there's bound to be a few limericks in there. I'll check out yours :)
