Craig,
This is a great presentation in color, art, style, rhymes, & story. Your lines flow smoothly & I was engaged from start to finish. I wasn't expecting the thing to be a leech--yuck. You used great descriptive words to describe that horrible thing. Who would have thought a poem of this length/caliber could come from such a thing. Good job & thanks for sharing. Jan

Thanks very much, Jan. I prefer a leech over a mosquito, as they don't actually cause any discomfort. And mosquitoes can be the bearers of VERY nasty things. I appreciate the lovely comments - Craig

A poem that puts fears of blood sucking vampires back in perspective. An unexpected ending that brings a smile, possibly a smile of relief, to one's face. Glad to have a six left for you.

Thanks, Tony for the very kind award of a shiny six. I congratulate you on having one left at this late stage of the week. Most grateful, Craig

Great presentation for a very interesting poem that is loaded with lots and lots of imagery. The word sanguisugent is one I never heard of until today. The last stanza gave more clarification as it relates to this poem. Very interesting CD...
