Craig,
It is easy for readers to tell that you love your little animals & they love you. You did a great job expressing this with your heartfelt words. Good job on the smooth flow & great rhymes. Is the picture of your 'babies?' Sooo cute!
Thanks for sharing. Jan

Hi Jan,
Yes, that is first time mom Bianca and her baby, Flynn. The picture is a couple of years old. Sadly, Flynn only lived a couple of days. He is the only baby alpaca we've lost, out of many born here, and it was heartbreaking. Many thanks for the lovely review, Craig

You write so beautifully with all your heart and soul inside. "but is it noble if it isn't true?" Great question. This is written with such ease, and your truth seems to shine in every word. This is one of my favorites. It brought tears to my eyes, because it was so heart-felt. As a writer, that's what I aim for, because if I can't reach you, I may as well keep my words to myself. Bravo!

I agree, it's all about our words touching others. That can't happen every time, but it's what we strive for. Many thanks for the wonderful comments, John, and for the much appreciated gift of six stars. Most grateful, Craig.

Yes, we all are "vespering" - such a poetic way to say that we're mortal. And having reach six decades, it seems almost every month someone I know has passed.
It takes faith to believe Jesus became "good" for us to enable us entrance to Heaven and I believe God's grace is much greater than any theological system can fathom.
Enjoyed your thoughtful meditation on a topic I can relate well to now.

Hi Craig. This has great meter and rhyme. I think I have heard of vespers meaning prayer but not vespering. I wonder if flying north would be vorthpering. Get it? I think vesp could mean West in German but not sure. Good job. Thank you for sharing

Hi Pam,
Vesper is the Latin name of the evening star, or as we know it, Venus. I guess maybe it's because that is the third brightest object in the sky, after the sun and moon, and sets roughly in the same place as the sun (i.e. west)? Just a guess. Thanks for the kind words, Craig
