Lol. Well, my husband's great uncle did an experiment and for one year of his life, he gave up food and only drank beer figuring there were enough nutrients in beer. I couldn't find potmeal either.

How did that work out for him, Helen? Cheers, Craig

Well, he did survive but he returned to solid food the next year. One would think he must have at least had some fruit juice for vitamin C ?

A very well-written Limerick about drinking instead of eating at lunch-time can deffinitely backfires after lunch when you realize how hungry you actually are.

I like my food too much to do that, Sandra, so it's not in any real danger of happening :) Many thanks, Craig

Haha, I like your limerick, Craig. ?Good job on its style. I believe many will identify. The word in question sounds as if it is a true word. Thanks for sharing. You are doing a super job. Jan

Thanks heaps, Jan. I don't identify, but I have a reasonable imagination ;-) Cheers, Craig

I don't drink at all but I have met many who have come back from a potmeal. Very nice rhyming and flow. My Dad was a teenage moonshiner in Georgia. I grew up around liquor and can't stand the smell or taste. Appreciate learning new words in a poem format. Hugh

I like liquor, but drink it very sparingly. If I drank as much as I write about it, I'd be in trouble! Cheers, Craig

Another new wordadd d to my vocabulary. There are many who like the Speaker in this poem who drink their lunches. I like the jaunty tone achieved by your rhyme in this limerick.

Love it and yes you should have had food. Alcohol on an empty stomach is not good. This flowed well and was written well for a short poem. Well done keep writing'

I never eat on an empty stomach either, which might explain why all my shirts and trousers have shrunk so much :) Thanks so much, Dolly :) Craig
