Lol. What a strange phobia! But then if one has never seen someone with a beard, it could look quite strange. I find that my husband's "prickleback" quickly turns softer as it grows a bit longer.

Mine generally resembles a brillo pad or bird's nest, other than on very rare occasions when it needs to be tamed lol
Thanks, Helen

How wonderful that you not only introduce a rarely used word but define it as well and top it off g it in this charming poem. They look absolutely delightful these two lovers!

I love limericks ... they lighten the tone of the heaviest of days ... such silly little thoughts linked together in the friendliest of rhythms and the most predictable of rhymes ... well done, this.

Hi Craig.
I love limericks, writing and reading them and I really like this one. I must admit I had to look up ponophobic and must remember the meaning in case it comes up in a quiz. This is a fun write. Great.
Take care. Jen.

A very well-written Limerick on the new word for the day. It is not pleasant to kiss someone with a beard especially when it is prickly or not very hygienicly cared for.

I generally try to shoo away any creatures that might be lurking in there, and wipe the remains of breakfast from it before puckering up :) Many thanks, Sandra.

Thank you for teaching me a new word! Love the poem, it's quite cute, and the picture to go with it is just perfect! Beards aren't for everyone, that's for sure! :-)
