CDRichards, I enjoyed reading this satirical, and playfully political (the word trumps drags it in such a direction) loop poem. However, perhaps it is just cards but well played and nicely rhymed. Good luck in the competition. ~DD

Well, he certainly doesn't need me to defend him. He's a strong guy and can do that for himself. No one is happy when a candidate of their own philosophy loses an election while the winning side rejoices. This is a well composed loop poem that you've made rhyme. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

I'd like to be able to say the rejoicing will be short-lived. Unbelievable as it sounds, I'm not so sure any more. It's just possible to go rejoicing all the way into perdition, or so I'm told.

This is very interesting. Clearly it has a political motive, but what makes it even more compelling is the fact that one could take this poem all across the extreme views regarding the president, both pro and con. It seems like an anti-Trump screed, which I would be thrilled with considering my own values, but it can also be an attack of public perceptions and the jumping to conclusions views we exhibit in our short-attention span society. Excellent work.
