A very well-written poem about the crossroads where we meet our friends and lovers who become part of our lives for the rest of our days and we will always remember the after they are gone.

Yep, life, like any journey, is a series of them. Many thanks, Sandra. Cheers, Craig

This is a terrific poem, Craig. I love the seven syllable lines you've used in superb catalectic trochaic metre. I very much enjoy this as a change to the regular fare.

Fine rhymes and a super good poem about love between two sentient beings.

Much enjoyed.

Gloria

Well, if we're going to remain friends, you're just going to have to stop swearing at me! Who knew it had a name? lol

Many thanks for the great comments, Gloria.

I love the crossroad motif for a love poem. When you look at your lives together, you can actually decussate the moment when things started, when the journeys intersected and combined. I wish this was entered in some love poem. It could easily win.

An unusual word I learned about today with your write here as we all come to the cross road of life at some point, I liked that you also mentioned the seasons, very clever, love Dolly x

This is sugar sweet! I like anything where I learn something new, or even better, a new word. Very well done and appropriate for where I stand in life at this time. That even looks like a younger version of myself walking down the road.

All my best to you and yours,
Sally

Wonderful poem. It's a beautifully worded piece with really good flow and rhythm. I slowed down a little on the "will depend" as it doesn't pause long there to move right into "on each other." You may consider moving the words around for a little better flow ("On each other, we'll depend, Life's a journey, 'til the end"). Regardless, I really enjoyed it. Great stuff.

Nice exemplification, you have done a good work telling the love story, using the word decussate specifically for appreciation of life in activation; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR

Friendships and loves seem to come and go - many are the parting of the ways. At first I wondered if 'decussate' meant to extricate oneself from a cussed relationship!

At first glance, I thought it meant all moisture had gone out of the relationship ;-)

No extricating required this time round lol

Many thanks for the great review, Tony.
