Awww, you didn't wake him? I feel like I've failed ;-)
Many thanks, Yvette, most grateful.

A very well-written poem about Jona and the whale. The story may seem like a fable, but there are two things that stand out Jona did not want to do what God asks of Him, after the whale swallowed him when the ship he was on sinked, Jona start to regret his unwillingness and then the Whale spew him out to go do what he had to do in the first place.

Thanks very much, Sandra.I'm betting, after being away three nights, and smelling like he must have after being inside a fish for three days, his wife would have had some serious questions for him :)

Belue sounds like the noise he'd have made when barfing up the preacher man. No-one likes to be preached at, not even at the best of times, but when you've got it coming from the depths of your belly it must be insufferable. Poor belue!

Excellent verse, Craig. It flows beautifully and keeps a cadence going throughout. Belue just seems to be a proper word for whale, I think. Thank you for sharing with us!!

Thanks, Melissa. I thought so, too. I've been trying to figure out the connection, but I'm not sure what it is. Cheers, Craig
