Your poem made me smile and it is so well rhymed with a great flow and rythmn and many female writers gain more respect when they write under a male name, this is unfortunately the way of the world as it is still male dominated! Sorry, but it is true! I enjoyed your new word and I have heard of it before! He he he, love Dolly x

Sadly, it is true, but getting better inch by reluctant inch, I think (well, in terms of gender equality, anyway). Many thanks, Dolly -- much appreciated.:)

Fascinating! I hadn't heard of J K Rowling's pseudonym before. This is one of your better ones in the series. I must try to remember to call you Joan in the future!

Always six stars to you and your poems with words we should all get to use at least once. The poem has a beautiful sing-song rhythm and an AA BB rhyming scheme.

I think your witty poem is great . It is quirky and fun to read.
How marvellous that you live in Australia and share your life with a lovely variety of creatures. I am a big animal lover too . I have always been a country girl at heart so I have a horse and I'm in the process of getting another one . Sometime in the future I hope to grow my animal family . Feel free to message me and say hello : )

That is amazing your family has English roots.

How very witty! But I am at a loss.... was this all creative and you are really Joan, or was it a focus on the new word and you are really Craig....... I am so confused. Lol. All the best,
Melissa

It's all a big fat lie. I was born Craig, and still am ;-)
