So many of your posts deserve six star ratings, and I am always out it seems. This one is particularly good, and I have a six to spare. This post makes me compare bad journalists to bad politicians. We have too many of each, and they feed upon each other. Both journalists and politicians need to look beyond their selfish interests. Journalism and politics is a service industry. They seem to have forgotten. All that matters is that their "view must win."
Nice job, Craig.

Very insightful comments, Debbie. Yes, they are almost equally bad, although I think pollies have the edge, as they are elected by the public to represent them. And they do feed upon each other. Most grateful for the delightful rating and the lovely comments. Cheers, Craig

Unfortunately journalists photographers stalk anyone for a news worthy story because it sells papers or magazines and what drives it is ourselves, we have a thirst to know about the intimate details of people's lives! A poignant write, I love the last line, love Dolly x

In today's world, it would seem everything is fair game. I long for the story that simply involves some person working hard to make it in the world or doing something that really matters. Keep writing.

They are few and far between, that's for sure. Many thanks.

Hi Craig. You are really up on things. This nut is an embarrassment and certifiable. I doubt anyone can take him seriously unless they are crazy, too. Everyone with a microphone gets a swelled head no matter what garbage he/she is spewing. "Boulevard-journalist" is too good a term. An enjoyable read for a sad state of affairs. Marilyn

Yes to both of those things, as far as this gentleman is concerned, Marilyn. Unfortunately, it seems there's no shortage of crazies in the world. Thanks very much, Craig

Bravo! There are way too many of these boulevard-journalists! And now they're taking over the mainstream media as well. I wonder how it will affect language/communication of the future generations? Brilliantly crafted poem, Craig!

Well said Craig! Propaganda is at an all time high, getting worse by the day. Joseph Goebbels staged and formed such a fake media outlet, all of Germany was fooled into thinking Jews were subhuman, deserving extension. The power of manipulation by the press to suppress the truth and promote the lie. It's happening again, as the world has exchanged the truth of god for a lie one more time. Pity the ones who do not discern the truth.
All my best,
Sally

Just the thought alone deserves this rating, not stating its perfect, yet so close to profound measures oh yah! All in my opinion of this particular write.

I admit I have never seen or heard a boulevard journalist like the one depicted here. I don't doubt they exist or that they believe what the Speaker swears is their methods in stanza one. You describe this one extremely well and if your goal is to make me wary, you succeeded.

Thanks very much, Rod. I'm surprised you managed to avoid them, we have many of them in this country. Appreciated, Craig.
