Fresh ideas are always good to have in mind for writing. You never know when they will come in handy on the spur of the moment. Nice work up for this short and sweet poem.

I think the competition is going to be fierce for this contest. I've only read a couple of entries so far, but they have both been top notch. Wonderful choice of image to back up your excellent points. Best of luck, Craig

A breathe of fresh air and inspiration are all inside your poem. I love the topic and your word choices. Small poems are so challenging, and you've met the obstacle with ease. :) Happy New Year and keep writing. This was a joy to read. Great contest entry. Good luck.

Hello,
Happy new year to you! I enjoyed reading your poem today :) I had to count your syllables twice. For me, I have to make myself say ideas with three syllables to make it work. We all pronounce things differently, and that is just fine with me. I like your message as we begin a new writing year. It will be fun to find out what fellow fanstorians will put out there in 2019. Let the rankings game begin.
Best wishes to you in this contest. You have a wonderful message.

Hi,Joy... having a restricted syllable count is a challenge when trying to make something sound meaningful and have good sense too. I truly thank you for your lovely review.

Hey, now there's a wonderful write that should serve as bountiful inspiration for all FanStorians!! :) ;) Great insight in only twenty words...almost a 'go forth and write' command for the masses! :) Good luck in the contest! :) Yvette

A very well-written twenty syllable poem about seeking for fresh ideas to write about. When we just open a window and take a deep breath of fresh air, we will be surprised what we will be able to create,

This is a very well-written poem with great imagery. You've summed up how the writing journey begins in very few words. What I perfect time for this poem the first day of the new year. Great job as always.

Great use of your 20 syllables. You make writing sound like a magical experience. Just open the mind's window. You mention observe, and that's so important. You have a great ability to do that. I think writing does take a certain amount of bravery, because you don't know how your work will be received. Best of luck in the contest. judi

Melissa,
Looking out into our universe (from likely high above the Earth from a church attic), your illustration is eerily spiritual.
But oft, all souls are not so brave (-;
Liked: waft
Best wishes in our New Year.
