Craig, This is a short poem, but very beautifully done one! I love the picture of that beautiful deep blue butterfly. Your words went so nicely with the picture. I think I need to visit where you live just to see the wonderful nature you have there. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Teri

Nice satori line...thier movement is musical indeed. Beautiful descriptive write with fine phonics in phrasing too with all the S and B sounds (which work in counterpoint so well). You do have a keen sense of the music of words, my friend. Lovely presentation.
Warmly, rd

This is a beautiful poem and I really enjoyed the picture you chose to go with it. I will say that I'm thankful you put definitions as I wasn't familiar with either the Ulysses butterfly or the callistemon. Great job and good luck!

Fine words here, very descriptive and your magical picture links your words so that we can visualise this butterfly. I have never seen one of these beauties before or heard of them, I was educated today, love Dolly x

I think they're quite rare, Dolly, even in their limited area. Many thanks for the lovely comments. Craig

I'm sure George Gershwin would be honored. Loved learning about the Ulysses butterfly and what a stunning blue that is! The bottlebrush bush is common in California but I perhaps it came from Australia like the eucalyptus trees. Best wishes in the contest!
