Oh boy, Craig, talk about stirring a pot! This is an excellent post, and exemplifies my argument that in many ways we can say far more with our creative work here than we ever can butting heads in the forums. This has everything. Emotional plea, common sense, and it rhymes as well! Excellent job, and you so should have entered it.

Thanks so much, Emma. There was never any doubt in my mind you would "get it". Sadly, I'm sure that won't be the case for everyone who reads it. I really appreciate the stars and the kind words.

This poem speaks about empathy of a friend for his friend's loss of his girl, and about his needed thoughts and prayers for the loss; well said, well done.

Comment from Dolly'sPoems
This is a cleverly rhymed poem with a poignant message here and I doubt the gun laws will ever change despite the loss of innocent lives because of the reasons you mention here. You handled your opinion with grace, love Dolly x
