A wonderfully gentle message for everyone no matter what their stance on religion (or the lack thereof)... amazing what a different world in which we would be right now if more could follow such philosophy.. ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! ;)

Thanks for the kind comments and the astute observations. It would indeed be a different place :)

I like this a lot. You effectively convey what you believe is the meaning of life with two simple words -- preceded by a brief list enumerating what the meaning of life is not! That's a structure I haven't seen in other entries I've read for this contest {thumbs up}.
Here's wishing you the best when the voting booth opens {smiles}.

Thanks very much for the kind comments, Alex. I tried for an approach I thought would be different, and I'm happy you picked up on that.

It couldn't have been summed up any better, and the image you used. For me, it was like a metaphor, the lion being life - rough and tough, and the man being kind to it, saved from it and/or with it.

Love the message here in your words, though with your short intro and then your Title " Two Words" was expecting your final (two words) to captivate me from the beginning, such powerful words, that is how we/life should begin, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

I love the picture that complements this poem, and your explanation of the meaning of life. The words flow well, the rhythm is easy to follow, the rhymes work perfectly and your narrative is easily captured. I wish you all the very best in this competition. Warmest wishes.
