Hi Sally. This is a great love story that focuses on intangible things and those are the things that last. Lots of people cannot get past the physical, tangible things but in this story the focus is on what counts. Still reading. Z

Thank you so much for the excellent review and kind comments, dear Z. I'm always excited to hear what my male followers have to say about all of this. It's the inward person that's the real treasure.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :)

A beautiful and emotional love letter that draws the reader into it. And the anticipation of the velvet box leaves the reader desiring to "turn the page" for more. I especially liked the opening quotes. Outstanding work!

Well, now you've got tears in my eyes and a very strong desire to turn the damn page and read more.... Aaack!! Oh, and she might have given the nurse one chocolate...that's all...I know how personal those chocolates were!! ;) :) lol! Way to leave a girl hanging, Lady Sal!! But I cannot wait to read the next... and I'm getting rid of the tears until then - so there!! :) lol! Great one in more ways than one -- thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

The love story is beautifully evolving. The father is happy that his son has found true love .The letter is so sincere and is full of true love .And I am eager to know what is in that small box?His wife's ring?

There are some good ironies in his chapter. If love doesn't sound corny, then it's possibly not love. There is still a lot of mystery to unfold. We are still with you. I'm sure there is some interesting behind this.

Thank you, dear Liz. My kids thought my husband and I were corny when they were younger but not anymore. I have my own 'Book of Love' that I made for Jackson years ago and they all love to read it. Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

You have really developed this romance beautifully. It offers a very satisfying feeling as to who the Mystery Man turned out to be. I like the way you have included the final section about Will's parents and their love letter history. (Sigh!)

I liked how you began this story with a letter, very intriguing. I get a sense of the characters from how Kristin describes him, very concise way of introducing the characters and getting in some backstory too in an entertaining way. The ending had a nice hook, I want to know what is in that other box! I suspect it is a ring, but I love that you didn't spell it out completely for the reader, very romantic.

This is lovely. Those two are so lucky. Not many people get that kind of love. It's rare indeed. I can imagine their children reading the letters someday.

As this love story evolves, these sincere, heartwarming letters become increasingly endearing to read. From the two wise quotations to the postscript, this pledge of unconditional and everlasting love is a joy to read. Clearly Will is a perfect gentleman who knows how to express love in all the right ways, from not disturbing Kristin's sleep to being honest about both his past and his present circumstances; and Kristin is without hesitation in acknowledging his caring words, deeds, and talents (the best form of appreciation a man can receive).
Meanwhile, Captain John Lewis sleeps soundly in the comfort of knowing his son has found the right life partner through letters, just as he had long ago found his beloved wife Sarah (now gone, but still in his thoughts). He is content, as he is prepared to don his dress uniform and honor the couple with a precious gift, safe in its small velvet box.
Superb, and aptly illustrated.

Thank you so much for the marvelous review and kind compliments. Your observations come from a man who has loved and been loved so this means so much. I appreciate your time spent following these love letters stories down to the smallest details.
Sending you my best today as always.

You are most welcome, Sal. Thank you for your kind compliment.
Only a heart full of love, with a supportive soulmate like Jackson, could write such beautiful letters in both directions. That is why I never doubted that this story would end happily -- WITHOUT seeming like a fairy tale or forced in any way. It's a joy to read. -- Mike

It's wonderful when two lives, two hearts come together through life challenges;but especially heart warming when physical handicaps are not handicaps. Your intro to a future chapter is fascinatingly told.
Will be watching for more.
