This is an excellent coles rhythm poem, an excellent choice by that fabulous poet gungalo Pam, who passed away in 2014. We've been having never seen before temperatures of 40-45+c, so the opposite is true. Excellent poem my friend, it's a beauty, well done Jim, blessings, Roy

I love it and exactly my life right now. My old throw was chewed by my dog so I have a new one but I miss that old one on days like today. Happy New Year. Well done, Laura.

Laura, that is such a perfect pastime, I remember my grandma having sewing circles to and the great throws that were a result.

Why does this poem make me feel warm, toasty and secure? All that you suggest are sure fire ways to stay warm, toasty and secure. During the cold Wintry weather, I give much thanks for electric blankets, socks, stocking caps and warm pajamas. On some nights I have to take some things off as I become overheated. Your writing is very descriptive and made me feel everything that you described.

This Coles Rhythm form/style is very appealing--seems challenging to me. You have done really well with it. Your poem is vividly descriptive. Also, it gives some great tips!

Beautifully written throughout its rhymed stanzaic 9/6/9/6/3 structural format and
its well told thematic narrative storylined content. I like the last stanza best! Thank you for sharing...Blessings from Italy. Tony

JLR--
I still only have fives, so apparently I've used all my sixes. I think this deserves one as a "how to" in really cold weather, many or most of which advisories, we follow. I double my socks, incidentally. I think the rhyme works, I would have to hear it out loud to really know. Preferably in someplace warm, eh?
Best

In my opinion, a lighthearted wintertime romp in easy rhyming rhythm and homespun fare - a warm and inviting read to catch some z-z-z's locked in the calm stillness of the season...

What an image this brings. I don't live in an areas where there is snow but your poem makes me wish I did. I smiled as it read this and the picture is beautiful. Your rhymes were greats in each stanza, I like the last stanza best, makes me want to snuggles with my Sweetie; socks on toes of course.

I don't deal with cold weather well, so your post and art-work made me shiver. Where I live, it's considered cold when it gets below 50 degrees. Very well done post, easy to read with a pleasant rhyme scheme.

Hello there, my friend. You did a fantastic job on this potlatch piece. It's filled with fun rhyme. Sometimes those twenty below days are full of the most warmth, cozy at home. Nicely done! ~Kerry
