I both love and hate this, so mostly love. At the end I wanted to shout...NOOOOO! I guess I expected a happily-after-ending! I have read Lee Strobel's book, but I am already a Christian so it reinforced what I knew. I was hoping that the Christian in this story would remain so. However...stories don't need a happily-ever-after ending. Sometimes the opposite is better, to make reader's engaged!(like me!) Great job:)

Thanks, Tina. Pleased that you didn't hold the unhappy ending against
me! Cheers. LIZ

Nope! It was too creative for me not to like! If it got that kind of reaction from me...I figured you deserved to know!
Best to you!

Loved the premise for your two short stories.
Totally amusing... not only the unplanned pregnancy... but the way they went about solving the problem.
Best of luck in the Faith writing contest.

This gives new meaning to the term, "going around in circles." It's perfectly written and in-depth, with a humorous, unexpected ending. I have a feeling you'll be way ahead in the contest if not the winner. Well done.

Thank you! I don't expect to win the contest given that I only got six reviews, but I appreciate your vote! Cheers. LIZ

There is a strong component of irony in this two-part story of a couple's struggle to reconcile their divergent beliefs upon their realization that the wife, despite all odds against it, has conceived a baby. I must put aside my disappointment as a Christian believer in the wife's apostasy (as I'm sure some atheists may feel disappointed in the husband's newfound faith in Christ).
Even though this well written story doesn't favor either belief system, it does lead me to wonder where the author places his or her faith -- just out of curiosity!

Mary Kay--Pleased that you could put aside your disappointment and give a fair review. You say you're curious as to where I place my faith: I refer you to my True Story contest entry---Holy Terror. Read at your own risk! Cheers. LIZ

You're very welcome, Liz. I will make it a point to read your story - though now I am even more curious!

I think this is a good entry for the Faith writing prompt.
This story, told from two sides, is well told and has an excellent twist.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.
