A double etheree! Now according to your notes, a double etheree should have two lines of ten syllables in the middle but I see only one.

Yes, there does always seem to be one person, that special friend, who is always there when you need a shoulder to cry on, or just talk things out. No matter what they are doing, they will stop and come to your aid!

I have never attempted to write an Etheree poem before. I think I have seem them?
I enjoyed the Double Etheree.
My favorite line- "Your companionship is like a salve" - So strong!!

Just one small and easily remedied issue:
You need another 10 syllable line between these two lines
Anam Cara, Soul Friend you never fail!
Your companionship is like a salve
and in your author notes:
Soul freind (friend) is a Double Etheree: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 8, 7, (6) 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
I was not familiar with the Celtic term Anam Cara so many thanks for bringing that information to me.
A most enjoyable read today and many thanks for sharing. :)

There's a real earnest voice here, as the narrator pleads for that relationship of peace, in the soul friend. I liked how the format opened up and out and then closed back in on itself again. Very much like a prayer. estory
