Oh my word, this is just brilliant, J. Without a doubt you write free verse to the supreme. You instantly and adeptly brought me into the turmoil and struggles with emotion and an ever shifting ground.
Your strength found in faith is strong. This has superior pacing, vivid imagery and is a top notch free verse.
Very good and what a lovely tribute to all your classmates. I don't remember having read one before so this is something very special.

This was really well written and I thought your words had a nice flow which made your poem very easy to read and to sink into. The last few stanzas create a very powerful image and it made me think of this person getting stronger as they found their faith. I enjoyed reading it.

This is a beautiful story of being redeemed by the light of God. We have all felt down and desperate at one time or another in our lives. Seeing something like that would surely be a comfort. You have described this so vividly, I could almost feel it.
