A fine scene described here of these bold birds brightening the forest green, how wonderful to see them in the trees, I would love to see them, love Dolly x

I wish I had a six for this one, Jim. It is so very good. I am a birder and loved the words you chose to describe the cardinals colors, companionship and finally their migration... a perfect closing line. Well done.

Your challenge poem reads well. I like the scattered rhyme and the smooth flow. Your words create great imagery. I could see these two beautiful cardinals as I read. I enjoyed how they were at first with the green leaves then how they blended in with the changing colors.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

What a lovely poem for this picture challenge! When I read the "He and She," it made me realize that the picture is of a couple. Some birds are blessed with lifelong mates and your poem points that out very well.
