You had said your goodbyes but she hadnt said hers so she came back to do that. What an amazing tale, a real tear jerker this one was. All mine have been buried in the garden. Quite a 'pet semetery' I have here, but none have come back to haunt me.

Thank you Jim. A lovely review. That final half-hour was actually a strangely happy time because we were all so excited by what had happened, and it eased the pain of her loss. It was a beautiful death in the end, and she knew she was surrounded by love.

Carol, what a lovely review. So appreciated!. he six doesn't matter, your words made me happy because you were touched and moved by what I wrote. Her final half-hour was happy because we were all so excited that she came back to us for that special time, and it eased the pain of losing her.

I laughed. How wonderful that God gave you a little more time to say goodbye to your little kitty! How cute that she cuddled with the kids and even lapped some milk! I found it even more amusing because another person wrote about a father coming back from near death to live another six months.

Hi Helen, This was the one I was thinking about calling "Lazarus". But I decided that might give away what happened. It really eased the pain of losing her to have that excited happiness of the last half hour - we were so happy she had literally come back to life, just to spend those few extra minutes with us! Oh, Wendy. This was a tearjerker. I found two blessings in this very short story: that you had decided on a garden burial and your family had another chance to cuddle with Tammy and say proper goodbyes. Still, having a pet (a member of the family) pass away is heart wrenching.

Yes, it was sad, but the funny thing was that we were all so happy and excited during that last half hour that she would have sensed that joy, and it did help to ease the pain for us all. You are exactly right - we were very thankful for those two blessings.
