John, I enjoyed the reassuring tone of this poem. The simple metaphor of wind as God's breath tickles memories of a parent teaching a child that God is always here surrounding us. Good luck in the contest.

Oh yes indeed we know not where the wind resides, nor do we know from whence it will come, but we know from scripture that it obeys the Lord, and we can trust the seasons to Him, well done, blessings Roy

I'm partial because some years ago my attempt at this form (incredibly) brought me a win and $100 prize!
Here's hoping!

I'm certainly hoping so!

A delightfully-written little piece of fancy, and a wonderful illustration with it. Wind can be destructive or bountiful; pleasant or uncomfortable. It deposited some else's roof in my mother's back yard. This was not bountiful as she had no use for the roof, although a handyman may have.

Thanks for reminding me that the wind is not always our friend. I like that you can find humor even in less than ideal circumstances. I appreciate your review. John

What a lovely faith poem! I loved the allusion to Jesus' talk with Nicodemus about which way the wind blows from the first line. It has such a humble tone to acknowledge we don't know it all but God does. Great job with your rhyming ABC poem! Hope this does well in the contest!

Thank you, Helen. You are very perceptive to pick up on Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus. Not many would. I think of that often on windy days when I hear the rustle in the trees and see their swaying back and forth. It's as if God is speaking, and for a moment I stand in childlike wonder. We can all get closer to Him through the miracle of His creation. I appreciate your kind review and good luck wish.
God bless. John

-Very nice artwork and presentation, John.
-You wrote a good poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-My favorite image is "symphony in the trees"
and I like the personification in the next
line as it "skips to realms unknown."
-A good entry; good luck.
