Thank you for sharing this story. Although very familiar with Mother Teresa and her works of mercy, I did not know this about the Empire State Building. Disappointing, yes. But something tells me that Mother Teresa would have given no importance to the lights. SHE was the light.

You're absolutely right. She would never have wanted her name in lights or any other kind of attention while she was alive. I think that's pretty much what her poem is saying...don't worry what others think. It would have been a nice gesture by the Empire State Building owners to show her some respect after her death. Thank you for your review.
