I have a lot of questions. I was surprised to find only one day had past. Where was Ava when everyone abandoned ship? Did the ship just drift to this Island after everyone was gone? Where was Ava when she realized she was alone? Does she have any idea what part of world she is in? Maybe all these questions will be answered in the coming chapters. The mystery of it all is intriguing. I hope your mom's okay.

Hi BethShelby,
Thanks for the kind review. Just a few things we have learned in the previous nine chapters that may answer some questions:
Ava was trapped under debris and had to free herself after a storm shook things up on the ship.
She searched the ship and found no one aboard.
She is on a ship in the French Caribbean. It is a hybrid cargo/passenger ship. There are 103 passenger cabins, which she searched before going to the cargo bay where she found four horses and a goat. She worked on freeing each animal by using the cargo elevator.
Thanks for asking about Mom. She is doing better.
Have a great weekend.

Ava is certainly a survivor, in fact she trust animas in front of people, and so much so she knows how to use then to get and find water, and the animals will le guiding her out of there, beautifully written Debi, blessings Roy

Well, I'm glad you're back. So pleased to revisit your island with you. But I have missed what happened to the other passengers. How come you're the only survivor? I hope your mother is ok. x

Hi JSD,
Yes, what did happen to the other passengers? That is still a mystery. I'm glad you are enjoying visiting the island and the story.
Mom is doing better. Thank you for asking.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Interesting. I think Ava seems more than a bit strange. It's one thing to love animals but perhaps she takes it to the extreme. I remember reading a previous chapter. I am getting more of a picture of your MC now.
Your writing is very good.

No worries. didn't know or remember (my brain forgets). I don't want to say the wrong thing but I hope everything is ok. xo
When I realized this was you, and an update to your story, I was sincerely happy. It was just as if no pause existed. There were threads to tie together, but with your great talent, you pretty much covered, everything. We don't know where the horses nor goat, are but, we do see hoof marks. It's intriguing and thought provoking, and you have hooked us readers, once again. Welcome back to your story! It's going well I see.
Your friend,
Alex :)

I am really loving thos story. I love stories of survival and Ava is a strong lead. Her inner thoughts are so real. Remembering the steps she was taught in rescue. The worry for her friend who has vanished along with the rest of the passengers and crew. She is a small-time hero. I mean she does small acts continuously. Freeing the horses and goat. Cleaning up after herself. Lol. It's little things and thoughts that show her character. This is an excellent story. Gretchen

So far Ava has it easy. Electricity and fresh water are more than any shipwrecked person can hope for. But it isn't likely that will last indefinitely. She should also consider trying to get hold of someone on the radio before the power fails. I'm really enjoying your story.

Hi Carol Hillebrenner,
Yes, she does have it easy, but it can't last. The radio will be part of her daily routine, once she gets one going.
Thanks for the suggestions and the kind comments.
