Bless you. (But mostly bless God!)
Excellent poem. I love the flow and natural rhyming.
I recently got to see my first great grandchild (a boy).
Great work. Blessings upon you and yours.

Awe, Wayne, I know exactly what you have to be feeling right now. Your first one and I bet you never knew this kind of love existed. It is different from our kids. Not better, but different.
I always appreciate your kind reviews and words for my poems. Thank you so very much, my dear friend. Lotsa love, Debi

What a handsome little fella. I will wager that the smile on your face would have taken a carton of lemons to erase. Sometimes we have to listen even if there is outside noise going on. The things we hear and learn when we listen can, and in the case, be lifesaving.

And you, Nomi, are such a big softie with the grandkids that I am happy if you ever quit smiling when they are around. You're right tho, they are my pride and joy.
I always appreciate your lovely review and words for my poems. Thank you so very much, my wonderful BBB. Lotsa love, Debi

Yes, the miracle of birth is the greatest blessing we have. Not only our own children's birth's but our grandchildren's birth. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem and experience with us.

I'm without sixes so I'll virtually send you an excellent rating for this touching story-like poem. Such a wonderful poem and image. When babies are born and if there is a problem, a person does a lot of praying.

Wow, what an exquisite presentation! I don't think there is a topic more deserving than the birth of a child. Your monorhyme is lovely too, but it's that ending stanza that I love the most --I doubt that there has ever been
A bigger thrill than I had then
At least I can't remember when
And doubt I ever will again

You and I have baby fever this week, don't we? I so enjoyed reading your personal story of your grandson's birth. Every childbirth is such a miracle and everything must go right. I get very upset when people don't realize this or the precious gift each child is to the family and to the world.
Thank you for sharing your personal experience, and your love for the babies God has entrusted to your care, as well as Little ones in the womb seeking life and love. We share the same heart.
A virtual six today with compliments, my friend. Good bless you richly.
Love.

Debi, as a guy, I can only admire from a distance what women go through to bring life into the world. I think I can understand how you feel about your own child. It would seem even more remarkable to see life continue when you become a grandmother. Excellent work. Terry.

Hi Terry, God maybe didn't give you any children, but he gave you the heart of a dad. A compassionate and caring person. And all who are close to you know you are a loyal and true friend. We thank you and your cats thank you. LOL
And what does that have to do with my poem? I don't know but your review was so sweet that it made me feel all gooey inside. Hahaha.
Thanks for being such a good guy and for the sweet comments!!!!!!

I was there when my oldest grandson was born sixteen years ago. I just remember watching my son go from boy to father as the baby was placed in his arms. I loved watching him fall in love with this tiny little being. This was a wonderful poem, Debi. You stirred memories in me that I'd pushed to the back of my mind. Gretchen
