The beauty of morning skies. I love to take pictures of rising and setting skies to place and share in a Verse of the Day message on my Facebook page. Unfortunately since I'm disabled and have a hard time moving around I've been unable to do so. Thank you for Sharing your Thoughts and accompanying Verses with your Poem. Blessings to you and yours.

Janet, I truly enjoyed reading this poem about the joys of a beautiful sunrise. I especially like your simile here: Then miles of pink and blue/like floating ribbons soft as silk. One line's meter falters, however: The unknown lies in each dawn.
You're short a syllable. May I suggest The unknown lies in each HUED dawn.

What a fantastic piece of poetry! Your meter and topic are perfect. Such vivid imagery places me exactly where you are as you reminisce God's lovely creation in nature's song! I love this so much! Thank you also for including my artwork.

My favorite time of day is the early morning. I love sitting on my back porch facing east, and watching the sun rise and listening to the birds wake up. Thank you for describing this in this wonderfully written poem.

Thank you dear Sal for this thoughtful and encouraging review and those special stars. I am so pleased that you enjoyed it and I'm so pleased that the message of God's beautiful skies helped you. I too love those blue skies. Here in North Carolina, we call the Carolina Blue, but I couldn't fit that into the poem. Smile
Take care my dear friend.

Beautifully written. Your description of morning is as though God Himself were speaking as He performed the task of bringing the gift of another day to His children. I loved it.
May the Lord bless you richly, Pen

I especially liked this visual: With clouds that look like honied milk
