So sad... but thank God Emma has such a good supportive family and Seth. I wonder how my life would have turned out if I had a father and boyfriend like Emma has.

Great chapter, I look forward to the next one.

Anyone would be blessed to have someone like Keith in their life in any capacity...husband, father, friend, or boss.

Here are some minor things:

re: "Remember we're running on no sleep and emotions are raw. Tempers may flair, we need (to) give each other grace."

re: They had been married (were married) for thirty-three years. When they married, Mom was younger than I am.

re: He plugged it in and set it on the nightstand. "If you need to
(delete the word to) anything tonight, I'm only a phone call away."

This was a good, sad read. I am sure many relate to your expressions of grief and so on. A couple of spags. I bec(a)[o]me almost functional after a while. To be honest it still hurts, but I've learned to live with it."

You wrote this chapter beautifully. I've been in situations like this ane I felt like I was there again. This is the way in usually is when someon close dies. You make everything seem so real.

So sad the father passed away but in life a little rain must fall. No doubt Keith and Emma will do fine. No matter the age difference. my dad was 7 years older than my mother but it never made any difference . Good one, Barb.

Hi Barbara, Again you've written a fine chapter. I understand that religion and faith play a big role here and I appreciate that. To me grief is about deep feelings of loss something we all have to deal with during our lifetime and we all deal with it in different ways. Ulla xcx

Sometimes, in certain situations, it seems we can never do enough. But later we usually find out that anything we do or just letting someone know we care is enough. Thanks for sharing.

Losing a loved one is so traumatic, within the span of 4 years I lost my daughter, my dad, my sister and my mother. It was hard, but I never blamed God, I understand the nature of life and lost. The Bible God's word has promised a resurrection, I look forward to the family reunion.

You handled this chapter very well, Barb. There was a lot of emotion here, but you did not overdo it. We'll probably hear from the trouble maker again before too long.
