This seems like such a simple day that Seth has planned, but Emma doesn't seem to be interested. Grief can do that, I guess. Then Ronnie Calhoun shows up with his story meant to break her and Seth up. She believes Seth and her mother, but the inheritance is another unwanted surprise. Maybe her parents shouldn't have kept so much from her. She would have understood Ronnie's irritating interest if she had known about the inheritance.

She doesn't trust Ronnie. More about his motive is coming. Thank you for the kind review.

Hi Barbara,
I loved this chapter. In it, we see the love and affection between Seth and Emma really heating up. We also find that Emma is an heiress, though Seth had known nothing about it ahead of time. It almost ruins their relationship until Seth convinces Emma he knew nothing about it.
Can't wait for the next chapter.
Take care,
Rhonda

A good chapter, Barbara. Honestly, I know Emma is dealing with a world of issues, but does she or does she not believe is Seth? Her immaturity is still there (it's only been what? 36 days?
I'm wondering with so few chapters remaining, will Seth propose? Will she say yes? I think Ronnie and Peggy should hook-up'
Missing a word ...
I'd wait 'till she's here." Susan pointed to a chair. "Have a seat and enjoy (your)/(a) delicious looking breakfast."
Looking forward to more.

I have made that correction. Thank you for the kind review.

It would be in Ronnie's interests to drive a wedge between Seth and Emma, and then try to win her (and her money ) for himself. I'm glad S and E are now able to express their feelings openly.

Yay... I'm happy they finally kissed. LoL I wasn't expecting the inheriting money part. I'm glad Emma trusts and believes him.
Excellent chapter. I look forward to the next chapter.
Well done

What a wonderful love chapter. I love chapters that end positively and have no disagreement. What a surprise for the young woman who is not only shy, in some cases, but also rich!

You had me going for a few minutes, Barb. I thought we had seen the last of Ronnie Calhoun, but you had to throw him at us one more time. Let's get this wedding over with!

You'll see Ronnie one more time, in next Sunday's post and then we're done with him for good. Thank you for the kind review.

Emma can be emotional, although we understand she is going through a period of sadness just now. I enjoyed the fishing scene and her a Seth are getting very close. I enjoyed the lively dialogue Barbara, and Ronnie seems disruptive, another fine chapter, love Dolly x

I am so going to miss these chapters! And the part about toast and broth, well, I remember following a stomach operation, when broth was a special treat for me! I like the way Emma and Seth's relationship is developing. Hope Seth truly is sincere! Take a couple of hundred more chapters if you want!

I certainly hoped so. The way he spoke, I felt about my wife. The difference is, her father was either extremely rich or poor. I married her during a poor moment.

Emma's emotions really come through. She needs to get over the self-pity and start looking after herself. (Tell her I said so.) Her grief is natural, but she needs to start managing things like eating. It's hard, but she's almost too melodramatic. I don't know that you need Ronnie Calhoun's interference. Emma's already had enough problems. It seems that she's always quick to believe any story she hears, such as Calhoun's about the inheritance. Great fishing scene for a nice change of pace. I like the bit about feeding the fish. It looks like a wedding is in the near future. Great to have a happy ending. Can Emma handle being married to an older man whose job will put him in some dangerous situations when she appears so needy herself? Excellent characterization. You certainly let us know how Seth and Emma are feeling. judi
