This is a wonderful tale that is only slightly weighed down by losing your home to a fire and having debilitating back issues. Having a friend like Patty, including her family, has been poultice for all of the problems.

Your husband is so right - God gave you an even better Patty. What are the chances of that happening without his answering your silent prayers for your Patty Playpal.

Pam, we had to come home early as I couldn't handle the pain. I was so miserable. And there was a day that nothing could keep me from a casino. We were going casino hopping for a couple weeks and wanted to end up going up the north shore drive of Lake Superior. We love that drive, but I just couldn't handle any of it. It was too much.

What a wonderful friend your living Patty was. My granddaughter is into the signs theory (that certain things mean something with happen). Your favorite doll being Patty and your best friend being Patty may have been one of the signs. It's a blessing either way.

Well, you have more than made up for the folder of poetry by writing thousands of poems since third grade, especially after joining Fanstory. I love how resilient and loving your family is. Somehow they got you that precious doll and later, God gave you that precious real life friend, Patty! See how much He loves us!

Yes, they most certainly did. As they saw our hearts were into something we were able to get it. Sometimes only one child would get a special gift but we knew that our turn would come around at some point. Even if they had to save for months just to give us something important to us.
I was daddy's little girl since he never got over the fact that he almost made it so I wasn't born. Even up until the day he died, I was still daddy's girl.
Thanks for the kind words and yes, it did feel like God had answered my prayers with Patty. She has been a blessing to me since I met her. We are good for and to each other. Nobody can believe that we have been best friends all this time and never had an argument. Once our kids were arguing with each other and it was her kids against mine. We looked at each other, started laughing and said, you kids settle it. We are not getting involved and that was the only time they ever did that to us again.
In some ways she reminds me of you. Of course everyone who has been so special reminds me of you. (Big Smile and Hugs). Thanks for the generous stars, my sweet friend. Love you lots and once again, thanks for the awesome review.

This is a beautiful and meaningful story. I remember Patty Playpal. My younger sister wanted one for Christmas. Yes she is one with wings and reminds me of another earth angel that I have come to love dearly. Yes, we have had hardships, but we weren't alone.
The truth is we are so blessed because we have our faith in God and so much to be thankful for. Thank you for being one of those blessings.
