That is so very well done. A reverse poem is not ease to do, making sense both ways and saying the opposite. It seems particularly apt for this one, as people do wear masks portraying a facade that all is well when it is not so. Impressive writing.

Wow, brilliant! I don't think I read this kind of poem before but I like how you executed it! You give us a completely different message - the one way tells us the narrator is fine. But the other way the narrator tells he/she is not. And it's like that with people who are struggling and putting on a facade. Great job!

I was unaware of this poetic form until now and I enjoyed reading your words. I will have to try this form of poetry. It is so amazing to read a poem with the same words, yet the meaning changes from top to bottom and bottom to top. Excellent use of words and a smooth poetic flow.

This is the first "reverse poem" I've read. It looks like it would be very difficult to construct. Yours works perfectly! Thank you for sharing it.

I've seen one of these reverse poems before about immigrants and was fascinated by how different our words can read upside down. You set your self a difficult task here, Jess, and don't disappoint. It's a good theme because so many of us disguise our true emotions by putting on that social mask. Well done! Debbie xo

Whoa! This is like what comedians say in stand-up routines: If a woman ever says, "Fine," know for a fact that she is NOT.
What a super-cool idea this is! I had no idea such a form existed. But now you've piqued my curiosity, and I feel I must try it, too. Thank you for the inspiration!! xoxox

Brilliant. I've read a few of these, and they are so impressive. I have not attempted one yet. Kudos on managing such a challenge. Getting two opposing messages across with one set of words is quite an accomplishment.

I looked it up and it is called reverse poetry and that's how it is taught, too. I think this is probably one of the most difficult kinds of poems to write. Bravo to you for giving it a try. I think you did a great job. A real challenge which you met well.
