This is life we kids. We have all been there. In the end, you have to be a mom, and not a friend. But it also shows how kids don't quite think things through. Told with a realistic language, very down to earth, and we get the emotions coming up through the voices. estory

This is very well written that I enjoyed listening to it. You're certain structure your paragraphing and your punctuation will make for a very good piece to listen to. May you have a wonderful day and may you have a delightful weekend. Patricia.

Hi Barbara, a virtual 6 stars
for you. To your son Greg:
Thank you for your bravery
and outstanding service. A
great read. My older brother
was a Navy submariner for
I think 25 years. He wasn't in
a war. Have a creative Thursday. Blessings :)

Barbara, as soon as you mentioned water trailing from the front door, I knew what he had done and began laughing. I think he was being very resourceful. And, to his credit, you didn't tell him he COULDN'T bring the hose through the house:-)

That's a great story.

Oh, the joys of being a parent. Lol. He did do as you asked. Just a minor technicality. He must have learned his lesson though, because he became a responsible adult who stepped up in the Army. Entertaining story. Gretchen

I imagine your son must've regretted doing that when you told him he wouldn't be going to the game until he'd cleaned up the mess. A well written chapter, Barbara, I enjoyed reading it.

That is too funny. Now. Not then. These are lasting memories that once you get them all down on paper, via this book, it'll be a nice gift one day for allnn no your boys.

Good memory,
John

Yep that sounds like a teenage boy. But, mine would know to pinch the hose :-) have a good week. It was pitch dark by 6pm here. Weird. Love to you and yours. Karen

He used the same reasoning my 14-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter decided they wouldn't have to pull weeds from the bean rows if they just pulled the beans. Kids can always be a challenge, but I liked it better when they were thinking as ours did than screaming at other video players like a 10-year-old is doing right now.
