Barbara, this is a god chapter. I agree about that this fiction is very close, unfortunately, to real life. I don't personally know anyone this abused, but do know of some that have been emotionally abused a lot. Thanks for sharing your talent, as always, with us, and continue to get better.

This was a good read from beginning to end, as usual. I can't wait to see what happens next. I was glad to read that treatment is ongoing but not to many side effects.

Hi, this was a nice chapter. I enjoyed the inner conflict which Troy felt. He was brave to go to that house. A person never knows when a man like that can do you an injur.
I liked the pace. luv jada

I think it was a wise choice to keep this chapter short. It really builds the suspense for the next installment. I agree with your notes. I have a niece living this nightmare right now and she just won't leave the marriage. So, I'm glad you're tackling this baffling and disappointing topic. Well done! Best wishes, Bev

I thought this was as well written as usual. The characters, emotions, and scenes all come across well. What little dialog there was sounded realistic and appropriate for the characters. Troy is a brave man, many people are reluctant to come between a man and his wife, even when it is obvious that intervention is needed.

Your short post allows a glimpse into the thoughts of someone who wants to help in this situation, but is afraid of making things worse. I'm not sure how the story will continue, but it is possible that this kind of impromptu intervention may create a more difficult situation.

H, Barbara, of course the category is fiction... :) Actually I'm hoping this kind of thing never happens in real life. This is short and indeed necessary, don't worry. (I'm glad you're better).

Your author's notes are so sad, but true. Women and some men go through attack after attack without a guardian angel to help them. Loved your story and glad Troy is stepping up. Ray aka R. K. Alan
