Although mythology means very little to me, I enjoyed reading your "punny" little poem! Very clever and well done. It shoud do extremely well in the contest.

Thank you for the read and review. I have always been a mythology fan (never a student) but when I saw the prompt my first thought was, "I wouldn't want to myth this," and it was off to the races. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Dear Mythtery Genius,
What can I say other than Bravo!! Your rhyme and metre are to be applauded, but it is the sheer idiocy of your mind set that deserves the real accolades.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my quirky train of thought made concrete. I believe I had the only three-year-old granddaughter who could recognize a pun and had learned to yell out, "PUN." at every one she caught. It is great fun to have a more informed audience to torture.

Being a massive fan of myth I like your poem alot...though it took a few reads "to get it". IYour author's note was helpful. Fun use of words and a mythic poem. Fun read-Blessings T.K. McGowan

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review. I had a great deal of fun writing this one. I saw the contest prompt and thought, "I don't want to myth this," and I was off.

Don't me myth-taken, don't be myth-led
This should win the contest, standing on its head.
Very witty and erudite story about the 'mything; gnome...
Full of humour and wordplay, but also enough flashes of classical learning. I wonder if I can puzzle out who the mythtery author is...

Puzzle away, but at the end,if you are wrong, let me know who you thought I was as I am always delighted by poetic or literary whimsy that contains classical references. By the way, I just jumped over and read your winning sonnet. I am quite impressed.

Only quite impressed - now I am quite depressed.
I see you are a relative newby so i would never have guessed.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my words. I am glad you enjoyed it and hope you had half the fun reading that I had writing it. Sometimes a poem just grabs the reins and heads out and this was one of those. I was just along for the SPAG.

A poet with a speech impediment! OMG! That is soooo funny. I liked the story. I liked the rhyme and the words flowed well. It was an original! Thanks you for sharing.

This is excellent and probably started out small until you realized the magnitude of it all. Great use of the word "myth". It was a pleasure to read you creativity.

Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to read and review my words. I am glad you enjoyed it and hope you had half the fun reading that I had writing it. You know, I don't think anything I write, beyond a proscribed format like haiku or naani, starts out small. I tend to write to the middle. Robert Frost wrote, "I have never started a poem yet whose end I knew." Well I would say that 99% of the time, I have the opening and closing lines running around in my head before I ever sit down to write. When I do sit, the poem just grabs the reins and heads out. In this one, I was just along for the SPAG.

That's amazing to me but excellent. I don't know anything. Don't very have to plan.

I love it, the rhyme, the way you used myth in so many ways, and the tale itself. Sherman was lead astray by his young myth, he must not have been thinking with his big head. Or maybe I am mythtaken. Awesome.
