The writer does a good job of leading the reader where the reader needs to go. The transition is smooth. The story is well balanced as the storyline is clear. The pace is consistent as the writer does a good job of bringing this story to an end. Good job.

The announcers play a very important part in the games played. They get all excited and you can hear it their voices and this was no different. The announcer has been calling on the games since 1989, John Sterling was n=know as this being his signature calls

Hey, I didn't expect to enjoy this but thought I would read it anyway because I like your writing and you review all mine for me. However, I got into and had to use patience to keep from skipping to the end to see who won. Ha. Yes, of course, I've done that with some books I've read. It's cheating, I know. I really liked your game calling and writing. Nice job.

Thank you and I'm glad you stuck it out. Rivera is the greatest at his position in the history of baseball. That made this easier to write.
I'll read a book and if I get bored with it, between me and you, I do the same thing...jump to the end.

I love when the Yankees win against the red Sux! Missed one thing, no one got hit by the ball. If no one gets hit there is usually a few close calls! =)

I don't like hitting batters, brushing back most certainly. I remember going to Yankee-Sox games years ago, talk about rowdy times in the stands! Thank you for reading and sharing,
John

Definitely the best two teem to watch! I didn't mean you should put that in, jus saying from experience when they play( especially when it is a game that really counts like the play offs) the bad blood between them comes out in the way of batters getting hit with the ball.

This is a great piece. The dialogue was impeccable. You helped me remember back when I had to watch Yankee games on TV. We only had one TV, and since I was the only girl with 3 brothers I was outnumbered. This story shows visually what it's like at a Yankee game, and yes the fans are very, very dramatic. Thanks for the memory. Great Job!

Thanks fluff. If you've watched on TV or listened to as many games as I have, I could probably do the job myself! (not really). I enjoy the game immensley. Thanks for reading and sharing... John

Like the every pitch has a meaning. Every batted ball, base runner, manager decision. I will be honest I have never cared for baseball. Yet, I have never looked at it as each action being important. You may have changed how I will view a game from now on.

JO, baseball is a great game. I love it. I coached with my boy's and then softball with my daughter (which was more fun then the boys!!)
I'm working on a childrens book (10-12yr old) book regarding baseball. It stems from my posting, "First Pitch". T

Yet another great story from the pen of a great writer. Despite the fact that I am not familiar with american sport, I can feel the tension and fervor that accompanies the experience
