G you really are talented. This story began with Christian living with his grandma and had me wondering, where's his family, his father/mother? Then you explain how Lionel entered their life and shattered Christian's world, and I'm thinking again, ok, so Lionel married his mom and they decided to kick him out of the house. Cruel. And then, the mystery lady arrives, and it's his mom...and it falls into place --he's a ghost! Excellent.

That was very weird and interesting and gave me the creeps.
But I have to say it really kept my attention. Good read and keep up the good work.

This is a nice enjoyable read that was easy to get into and follow along. Before I found myself, I used to dabble in the occults, and while things do sound and look strange in that world, people adept in the arts can make things happen. The way you told this story is close to what happens during those sessions. It was a clever ruse, however, for the grandmother to get Christian's mother over and to hear his mother's confession and to seek atonement for putting her abusive husband before him. That was clever - it's two stories in one, actually.

You have no idea how impressed I am right now. I JUST WANT TO SCREAM! I've only been on this website for a few days but I've read quite a few short stories, chapters, and poems - this is what I've been waiting for! You say that it's just "a little old story" that popped into your head? You have a true gift. Let me tell you why. As I was reading, I caught the subtle little things that you said that made me question "wait what?" Like for instance when you wrote the part where Christian says that all that stuff about his mom and Lionel happened way before grandma's hair turned that white. Which speaking of hair, it was so creative that you started the story talking about her hair so it was already on my mind. There is so much I can say about this piece. I wish I had the ability you have to be able to write exactly what you want the reader to imagine. I felt like I was watching a scene in a movie! I loved this so much! You get my highest vote!

GW,

I'm not sure, but it seems the mother was not looking for someone who was dead, but who saw her as dead. Was it a setup for Christian to hear his mom? Forgiveness is a powerful key to freedom that Christian experienced after forgiving his mother. That is very nice.

You got it. Christian didn't believe he was dead. He just thought his mother had abandoned him. I wanted to end on a positive note and having him forgive his mother was that note. Thank you for the delightful review.
