I gave you a six star rating, because this piece was written so well. It was so heartfelt, thinking, and imagining your grandpa stoking the furnace, and never being thanked for it. I'll bet his thanks was seeing those little kids walking around in a warm setting. I have that image in my mind also. Your descriptions are very good. They help to plant more and more images into the reader's mind. I enjoyed reading this piece. I think it was perfect.
