What a great sacrifice on your uncle's part.
Loss of loved ones can be painful but it can also push one into taking steps to prevent a re-occurence.
Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you for the kind and understanding review!
He was a wonderful man, and I wanted to do him justice. His losses shaped his life. Our loss of him changed ours.
Thanks for the stars and all that good luck, too.
I'm grateful, Princessunice.
Have a wonderful day.

This is a very interesting piece. It gave a nice slice of life in that time period. The voice is nice. The dialogue sounds natural.

I was afraid i am out of six stars..i would have given 2 of 5 in that case...very..extremely good written...being a true story gives you more credit for having the power to submit it..well done.

I am so grateful for your wonderfully kind words! You actually made me cry, my friend, but they are good tears.
This is the first thing I've written about my uncle. I adored him so much, and losing him was one of the hardest things I've been through. I'm so grateful to you, because you made me feel like I might have done his memory a slight bit of justice.
AND you waded through all of that for only two cents. How wonderful you are!
Thank you for your magnificently generous review and for all those stars. You have no idea what this means to me.
Gratefully,
Vista Kay
