JMDG1954,
You have chosen a topic you clearly know about
and shown unique writing style.
The reader enjoyed your choice of words. Well crafted.
"For sure, sluggers are slugging, speedsters are stealing bases, pitchers are pitching deep..."
Best wishes . From Praise000

I guess I didn't realize Mr. Rodriquez was back. I hate it when our sports "heroes" fall and cast a shadow on athletes in general. I am all for second chances but I find it ironic that they have never let Pete Rose forget his sin of gambling on games. And to sum it up, they all get paid way too much. 8-)

I certainly agree that Alex cheated and deserved suspension. However, while I cannot speak for him, I do not believe that once a liar, always a liar. Nice work with this one. I love baseball and totally understand where you are coming from.

You've hit on a universal truth. It's the game that matters more than the players. The players make it entertaining to watch, but after they have been traded, cut, retired, the game goes on, and many more are waiting to take their place.
You're absolutely right. Every player that does without ped's should be beating down the doors of those who do.
We as fans also have input. Tell the league and that team that we feel it is wrong and won't support that player anymore.
Excellent essay. Well written.

That's a true story. Fans are fickle. Always were and always will be. LOL Everyone loves a winner but not so a cheater and too many big stars can ruin their reputations in many different ways. That ruins their chances but the game goes on.
Fans will cheer for someone else.
Well said John. :<) Nancy

Reminds me a little like Lance Armstrong, but it's hard to judge people, we all have our problems, how can we sit in a high place! The integrity of a sport is defiantly neutral, I just feel sorry for kids who out these stars on pedestals, when all they have is talent, but are not godlike! Good article, we have baseball here, but ranks it low in popularity above it are numerous sports, Aussie rules footy, cricket, rugby, soccer, tennis, etc. Well done, I enjoyed this article, blessings, Roy.

Lance Armstrong... I followed his career and read multiple books on him, all before the steroid scandal. Another loser that kids cannot look up to. John
