Guess, in relationships the other man loses out and has to bemoan his situation. Excellent lyrics about romance and with some rhyme. Faye

A great song of love triangle you are hooked as the other man. It seems you are going to win the Lady but will she stay faithful to you? Will she not going to find another man when she got you?

An emotive and forthright approach to the act of unfaithfulness.
The poem states a clear, and concise emotive viewpoint , expands
the subject with logic and the words flow with clarity from verse to verse.

I read your story poem lyrics, if you will.
I did enjoy reading it even though it seemed like it was too long....for some reason or another...it is as if one of those paragraphs could either be combined or just withdrawn in its entirety.
The Other Man....is that what you once were but now you are what you saved her from. If so, please don't ever become what she left him for and someone else becomes what you once were....The Other Man.

No, I can honestly say I have never been the other man.
And that includes two marriages, the first one lasted 20 years, and the second one is now into its 15th year and much better than the first ever dreamed of being.
I was the man of the last stanza. The one it happened to.
Curious, which verse do you think should be eliminated?

Nicely done.
A story in a song and I love the repeat as it shows dramatically that a marriage is never secure just because one wears a ring.

It is sad that so many people get married and have no idea how to make a marriage work. With divorces being so easy, people get married with no sense of commitment or loyalty. I'm sure, the woman my dad left my mom for, would agree with this poem...
Well written with an interesting perspective. :)

Yeah, sorry. It touched a nerve, as you can tell. Unfortunately it is reality, and you've described it very well. :)

Hi, Brett
_ This is good take on 'the other man.'
_ Seems like it is usually the 'the other woman.'
_ This was a catchy tune. One that can set you to humming along.
_ Well done.
