Interesting lyrics incorporating the main cities of Texas. Someone lost their heart in one or all of those places. Good use of rhyming and an enjoyable read. faye

Written with the qualities of a ballad, or a country song. Nice use of repetition, a chorus and had a good rhyme flow throughout. Nice piece, and as a Texan -resonated with me a bit. Good job

Great lyrics. I like the atmosphere with your reference to all the cities in Texas. The reference to the fiddles playing also adds to the melancholy tone. Another tale of a lost love. I can picture the guy driving around to different parts of Texas, and thoughts of the gal stay with him. Come on, he's a big, tough Texas guy. He surely won't let a faithless gal keep him down for long. Excellent rhyme in this, and it all comes together marvelously. judi

Reads and plays out like an old country song. I think I even read it with some twang! I could picture a video of it with the guy singing and flashing to the girl somewhere else and then with another man.

there's a lot of melody in this poem. I love how 'Texas and tear drops and neon light' roll off the tongue. Amarillo by morning, Laredo at night gives a feel of restless travel. Well done. :)

Very well written poem and lost your love on a lonely starry night. You are left alone and she does not have a care, because she went away with her new love.
