Ah, Lady Brenda. How very kind of you to say so, M'lady. I thought I'd wax poetic on my favorite subject that being the fairer and most delectable of the sexes. Your approval pleases me. Thank you so much, mikey

This love of mine
this love of woman
Womankind
Reminds me of e e cummings
"We're anything brighter than even the sun"
but now all is pressed
like daisies in a book
pressed sunshine
Sweet memories of then
or now
Written in baby blue eyes
Women will love
Good luck in the contest

Oh there you go again.
Bring the wine, and your voice I have the candels and the bath ready.
Come read this to me.
Loved the part about first love, oh if I were younger...lol

"I
knew
as silly as it sounds
I would never love another
as I loved you then
and I
do
right now
too"
Mikey, why don't I believe you?
Is it because I have heard this sort of thing before from you and I don't believe it was about the same lady.
This sounds slike the real thing to someone who has not seen you go there before. It is a good poem, using all your skills with words and presentation. But crying "Love" is like crying "Wolf". Do it too often and no one believes you. Lol.

Actually every word and every poem even the broken hearted lost love ones are all about the very same girl. LOL
I don't actually have her safe and sound in my arms, sooooo, a bit of a roller coaster ride of insanity. HAHAHA!!!! But perceptive on your part. It would seem a bit askew. mikey

Well well. You never struck me as the constant and true type. Just shows how wrong one can be.

It doesn't show at all, I know. I'm absurdly monogamous. It makes life simple. LOL
-
You're right there.

You're a soppy old thing, really, aren't you? Such a beautiful poem. Strong, heartfelt sentiments which don't come accross as mawkish, or falsely sentimental.
I'm not a great romantic, myself, in the hearts and flowers sense (good job, too, because hubby isn't either. In 19 years of marriage, I've had flowers 3 times, and once was when I was in hospital, so it doesn't count. My mother brought me flowers in hospital, lol, it is not a romantic gesture.
I do, however, appreciate a well-written poem on the subject of love. Despite my opening line, this isn't 'soppy' at all.
'your soul
repaired my soul
filled every cavern
every hole'
This has depth; speaks to me of something real. Some deep bond, rather than a teenage crush.
Well done.

Yeah, pretty soppy at heart. HAHAHA! Just the words I want to hear. I try not to get toooo mawkish and stuff. But I do want to express how foolishly gaga I am. LOL

Hi Mikey. One last review, I might not lose it on my phone. I'm too frustrated to go back on the computer. What a delightful love poem and certainly a contender for top placement. I don't like romance poems if they are too gushy. Your words ring true to my ear. Exquisite phrasing ,,, I love the sun paling in comparison to true love and the rising of the moon. "Daisies pressed", "that first lustful look". ... Aaaaah! Sensual yet subtle. I wish I could say more but don't want to lose another review. I absolutely love this poem. Hugs - Lovi cxxxx
